Personal data will be stored electronically/informatically and for the time strictly necessary for the fulfillment of the stated purposes, respecting your privacy and current regulations. You can request to delete all personal data about you. This does not include data that I am obligated to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Art.13 disclosure D. Lgs. 196/2003 for the processing of sensitive data

Dear Sir/Madam,

Pursuant to Leg. 196/2003, on the protection of persons and other subjects with regard to the processing of personal data, the processing of information concerning you will be based on the principles of correctness, lawfulness and transparency and protecting your confidentiality and your rights.

Pursuant to Article 13 of the aforementioned decree, we therefore provide you with the following information.

  1. The sensitive data you provide will be processed, for the following purposes: facilitation of the initiation of bureaucratic procedures for the purpose of finding/recovering the missing person. 
  2. The data may be disclosed only to the competent authorities in order to explore the bureaucratic procedures aimed at initiating the process of reunification/retrieval of the missing person and/or the recovery and related repatriation of the body.
  3. The data may be anonymized and used for statistical purposes for dissemination works related to the work of the Association and the promotion of memory with respect to the phenomenon of missing persons in the Mediterranean.
  4. The provision of data is mandatory  and refusal to provide such data could result in  failure to continue the relationship.

  6.  At any time you may exercise your rights vis-à-vis the data controller, pursuant to Article 7 of Legislative Decree 196/2003, which we reproduce in full for your convenience:

Legislative Decree No. 196/2003,
Article 7 – Right of access to personal data and other rights

1. The interested party has the right to obtain confirmation of the existence or non-existence of personal data concerning him/her, even if not yet registered, and their communication in an intelligible form.

2. The data subject has the right to obtain the indication:

(a) of the origin of personal data;
(b) of the purposes and methods of processing;
(c) of the logic applied in case of processing carried out with the aid of electronic instruments;
(d) of the identification details of the owner, managers and designated representative under Article 5(2);
e) of the subjects or categories of subjects to whom the personal data may be communicated or who may become aware of them in their capacity as designated representative in the territory of the State, managers or appointees.

3. The data subject has the right to obtain:

(a) updating, rectification or, when interested, supplementation of data;
(b) the cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, including data whose retention is not necessary in relation to the purposes for which the data were collected or subsequently processed;
(c) certification that the transactions referred to in subparagraphs. (a) and (b) have been brought to the attention, also as regards their content, of those to whom the data have been communicated or disseminated, except where this proves impossible or involves the use of means manifestly disproportionate to the right protected.

4. The data subject has the right to object, in whole or in part:

(a) for legitimate reasons to process personal data concerning him/her, even if relevant to the purpose of collection;
b) the processing of personal data concerning him/her for the purpose of sending advertising or direct sales material or for carrying out market research or commercial communication.
